The ATS27316 is a highly integrated mmWave up/down-converter used in 5G beamforming applications targeting 24.0 GHz to 29.5 GHz RF frequency range. The device utilizes real-IF heterodyne architecture to convert 3.2 GHz to 8.6 GHz IF signals to the 5G NR FR-2 bands spanning the 24.0 GHz to 29.5 GHz spectrum. This chip features two Local Oscillator (LO) modes: in the x2 mode, the LO input frequency ranges from 9 to 12 GHz, while in the x4 mode, the LO input frequency ranges from 4.5 to 6 GHz. The SPI provides fine adjustment of the quadrature phase to optimize I/Q demodulation performance.
